All hair types.  It is very gentle and does not require a great deal of pressure to be effective.

Do I need to clean it after each use?

Yes you do!  Depending on it’s application it may require a light rinse or a deeper clean with a nail brush to remove product & dead skin.  Periodically you should give it a deeper clean but on most occasions a rinse with a gentle soap will do the trick.
